B2B embroidery and printing workshop

Embroidery in Istanbul: your logo embroidered or printed, from 10 pieces

Short answer

Embroidery in Istanbul for companies: nakis.online, a B2B workshop in Bahçelievler, embroiders your logo on shirts, caps, workwear and towels and prints it on T-shirts and other textiles with DTF, from 10 pieces. Send your own items or let us source them. Embroidery production starts after sample approval and typically takes 3–5 working days for orders of 10–500 pieces.

What can we embroider or print with your logo?

We put company logos on the clothing and textiles that businesses use every day: staff uniforms, promotional items, hotel linen and the patches that go on them. Logo embroidery is the core of the workshop, and alongside it we print T-shirts and other textiles. Custom embroidery for a company, a club or an event, branded clothing for a team, or a first run of merch for a small business: every order starts at 10 pieces, whatever the product.

Names work too: each chef jacket or nurse’s tunic in a batch can carry a different name. On caps, the logo goes on the front panel, either flat or in 3D puff, where the stitches run over a foam layer and the letters stand up from the surface.

What we embroider and print, by product family:

Embroidered promotional items on a pale studio floor: a beige towel, an ecru tote bag, a navy cap and a petrol-blue beanie, each carrying the logo of a different business (a spa, a pastry shop, a dairy and a logistics company)
Each product has its own logo position – the woven border of a towel, the front of a tote bag or a cap, the turned-up cuff of a beanie.

Your own garments, or shall we source them?

Both work. If the garments are already in your stock room, send them with the quantity per size and colour, and tell us the fabric: it decides the backing, the stitch density and sometimes the position, so a thin jersey T-shirt and a heavy softshell jacket get different embroidery files even for the same logo.

If you would rather hand over the whole job, tell us the product type, the colour, the size split and whether you want a lighter or a heavier fabric. We obtain the blanks, add your logo and deliver the batch; model, colour and size options are agreed in the quote, and the time needed to obtain the products is added to the lead time. The sample is made on the garment chosen for the run, so you approve the logo on the real product.

Need garments and logo work together, such as a small collection of T-shirts, polos, hoodies and caps? See custom apparel from Istanbul. Hotels, spas and beach clubs will find Turkish towels with an embroidered logo on a page of their own.

Embroidery or print: which suits your logo?

Alongside embroidery, we print T-shirts and other textiles in our own workshop using DTF (direct-to-film); whether embroidery or print suits your logo is something we decide with you, based on the design, the fabric and the quantity.

Embroidery stitches the logo into the fabric with thread. It has texture, it does not crack or peel, and it is at its best with solid-colour logos, company names and small emblems on polo shirts, jackets, caps and towels. Thread can suggest a gradient or a photograph, but it cannot reproduce one.

In DTF printing, the design is printed onto a film with a white base layer and heat-pressed onto the fabric, where it stays as a thin, flexible layer. It reproduces photos, gradients, small text and fine detail, works on cotton, polyester and blends in light or dark colours, and adds little weight, which matters on a lightweight T-shirt; only a very large solid area makes the fabric feel noticeably stiffer. Printed orders are ready on average 3–5 days after you approve the order, plus the sourcing time if we supply the garments. Our page on T-shirt printing in Istanbul compares DTF with screen printing, transfer and sublimation in plain terms.

Which logo file should you send, and who prepares the embroidery file?

For embroidery, send your logo as a vector file (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG) or as a PNG or JPG; we prepare the embroidery file in the workshop. For print, vector artwork is preferred, and whether a PNG or JPG will do is confirmed in the quote.

You don’t need to supply a stitch file. We digitize your logo in our workshop, turning it into a file the embroidery machine can read. That is more than a conversion: someone decides the stitch types, the direction of each fill, the underlay and the colour sequence, and adapts them to the fabric, which is why a file made for a pique polo shirt needs changes before it suits a terry towel.

Even if the embroidery is not done with us, we can prepare the embroidery file for your logo and deliver it to you or to the workshop you work with. When you order only the file, we still stitch it out on fabric in our workshop to test it before we deliver it. The price and turnaround of file work are set in the quote, once we have seen the logo or the file.

We prepare the embroidery file in DST format as standard, and in PES if you ask for it. DST, the format industrial embroidery machines commonly read, carries the needle movements but not the thread colours; PES stores the colours as well. To check an existing file before you send it, open it in our embroidery file viewer; to see a photo or a logo as stitches first, try the photo to embroidery demo.

Send your corporate colours as Pantone references if you have them: we match them to the nearest Madeira thread shade and show the result on the sample, which is where colours should be judged, since thread reflects light differently from a screen. Very small lettering tends to fill in with thread, so tiny text may need to be enlarged or simplified.

How does sample approval work before production?

We start production once you have approved the sample; the approved sample is the reference for the whole run.

The steps from the first message to the finished batch:

  • Request: you send the logo, the product, the quantity and where the logo should go.
  • Quote: we reply in writing, covering the embroidery or print, the product if we source it, and the shipping.
  • Sample: we digitize the logo and embroider it on a garment from your order.
  • Approval: you check the size, the position and the thread colours, then approve the sample or ask for changes.
  • Production: the batch is embroidered to the approved sample, typically within 3–5 working days of approval for orders of 10–500 pieces.

Which machines and threads do we use?

We embroider on Tajima and Barudan multi-head embroidery machines in our own workshop. On a multi-head machine, several heads stitch the same file at once, so a whole batch runs from one programme and one set of thread colours.

We use Madeira polyester embroidery thread; where extra sheen is wanted, viscose thread can be chosen too. On textiles that are washed often and hot, or treated with bleach, the durability comes from the polyester fibre, and for that kind of work we use polyester thread.

Under the embroidery sits a backing chosen for the fabric: cut-away in stretchy jersey and pique so the logo keeps its shape, tear-away on stable woven fabrics, and a water-soluble topping on towels and fleece so the stitches stay on top of the pile.

Where is the workshop, and do you ship across Türkiye and abroad?

Everything is embroidered and printed in one workshop: Siyavuşpaşa Mah. Cem Sultan Sk. No:4/A, 34180 Bahçelievler/İstanbul. Bahçelievler is a district on the European side of Istanbul.

Looking for an embroidery shop near you in Istanbul? We are a B2B workshop that works from 10 pieces, so for a single personal item a local embroidery shop is the better choice. For company orders the distance matters less: the logo, the quote, the sample approval and the delivery can all be arranged in writing.

Orders leave the workshop for addresses across Türkiye and abroad. There is no single fixed carrier: which courier takes the parcel and how long it travels both depend on the destination country. The shipping cost is part of the quote. For deliveries outside Türkiye, customs and taxes are talked through at the same stage, since import duties vary from country to country, and we help you along the way.

Working hours are Monday–Saturday 08:30–19:00, Istanbul time (UTC+3). Quotes and order details can be handled in writing in English, as well as in Turkish, German, Arabic or Russian, all through the same WhatsApp number.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order?

The minimum order is 10 pieces. The same minimum applies to every product. Digitizing a logo and setting up the machine only make sense when the work is spread over a batch. Sizes can be mixed within a batch; whether different products in one order count together towards the minimum is settled in the quote.

Do you embroider a single item or a personal gift?

We work from 10 pieces and don’t embroider a personal name on a single item. For a one-off personal piece, an embroidery shop near you is the better choice.

How long does an embroidery order take?

For embroidery orders of 10–500 pieces, the typical lead time is 3–5 working days after sample approval; when we source the products, the time needed to obtain them is added. Digitizing and the sample round come before that. For orders above 500 pieces, with several logo positions or with mixed products, the time is set in the quote; the transit time depends on the destination country.

How long does a printed order take?

Printed work is ready on average 3–5 days after you approve the order; if we source the products, the time needed to obtain them is added. Whether you see a printed sample or a digital preview before the run is settled in the quote, as is the timing of an order that combines print and embroidery; the transit time depends on the destination country.

How is the price worked out?

The price depends on the stitch count, the number of colours, the number of logo positions, the quantity and the product; we give you the quote in writing. Logo digitizing is listed separately in the quote. For printed work, the price follows the size and position of the print, the quantity and the product. If we source the products, the quote covers them too. There is no fixed price list: the same logo needs a different file and stitching time on a pique polo shirt than on a towel.

Can you source the garments for us?

Yes, if you want us to. You can bring your own products or leave the sourcing to us: we obtain them, add your logo and deliver the finished batch. When we source the products, the model, colour and size options are agreed with you in the quote, and the time needed to obtain them is added to the lead time.

Do you ship abroad, and how are customs and taxes handled?

Yes. We ship orders from our Istanbul workshop to addresses across Türkiye (Turkey) and abroad; the carrier and the transit time depend on the destination country. The shipping cost is set in the quote; for orders abroad, we discuss customs and taxes with you at the quote stage and help you along the way. We are not customs brokers, so for the rules that apply to your import, ask your customs broker or the customs authority in your country. Put the delivery country and the quantity in your first message, so the quote covers shipping from the start.

Which languages can we write to you in?

We can handle quotes and order correspondence in writing in Turkish, English, German, Arabic or Russian. The WhatsApp number is the same whichever language you write in: send the logo file, the product and the quantity there or by e-mail.

Do you have other branches?

No. Our only workshop is in Siyavuşpaşa, Bahçelievler; we have no branches.

Can you embroider club crests, brand logos or official insignia?

We apply registered trademarks, club logos and official insignia only on the written order of the rights holder or of an organisation it has authorised.

Can we get test documents for the thread?

On request, we forward the current test documents for the Madeira threads we use to corporate customers.
